Have you seen Intel integrated gigabit Ethernet adaptor reporting MAC
ff:ff:ff:ff:ff. That is in Windows. Linux loads the driver but refuses to
even recognise eth0. Driver e1000e loads with no problems.

Are you sure it should be e1000 and not igb? That's what my integrated
ethernet devices use.

Are you sure its supposed to be eth0 and not em1?

Yes, that's a good point. My e1000 plug-in card came up on ens5f0 and
ens5f1. I had to use "ifconfig -a" to figure that out.
