It's Halloween. Why should I be surprised.

I'm stunned. It's still shambling about looking for brains.

It's the night of the living (dead) SCO.

This has NOTHING to do with Linux. It is (in effect) a separate lawsuit between "that which is now called The SCO Group" and IBM.

If you've been following this whole thing for the last 15 years, it's
all about Linux and IBM's contribution to Linux (to the <cough>
detriment of Unix) and all the peripheral issues around it. A dark
hand had guided this and it's now clutching at straws but, yes, if this
latest lame ploy doesn't go down in smoking cinders, Linux is in its
sights. A lot of it was wrapped in the contractural issues of AIX and
the original Unix licenses but the target was to damage opensource and
claiming that the enhancements IBM made to AIX and subsequently
contributed to Linux somehow violated their "intellectual property".
This is just a spur branch of the same-o same-o.

Given the pig-headedness of the plaintiff, if they prevail, they will try
to make it about Linux

I agree that there is no logical path. I disagree that the plaintiff
believes that

I disagree. That path was beaten down. This is a separate path, but if you
read the article it has nothing to do with Linux, and everything to do with
