this ATX motherboard
http://www.microcenter.com/product/460522/970_Pro_Gaming-Aura_AM3_ATX_AMD_Motherboard

is on openbuy at 50 dollars.

Is it worth buying an openbox ?

Are you willing to toss $50 in the trash for a motherboard with no warranty?

I'll buy a full system openbox since I can actually test it. Motherboard, no. Unless it's $50 for a normally $300 board.

Yup, risk vs. reward. Microcenter isn't a fly-by-night operation, so
I'd probably drop $50 for a $200 mobo.
