This article reminded me of all that Ubuntu has done for me, and for
the community. Ubuntu Just Works (TM). IIRC I used Ubuntu 2007-2014,
and most of that time it served me well. Eventually I decided I wanted
something with less layers of abstraction and more DIY potential, but
Ubuntu made Linux really easy, and it's perhaps our greatest ambassador.

My first experience with Linux was Ubuntu Maverick. What I have found
over the years that once you unlearn all your bad Windows habits Linux
just works.
